Jewelcrafting
I converted my 26 mage to jewelcrafting. I've been leveling his skill recently. He's up to 125. It becoming clear why some previously cheap items now go for a premium at auction, like large fangs and shadowgems. I've been hording some items, like these for a while. Jewelcrafting has burned through much of my stored bars and stones.

Head to Exodar. Take the boat out of Auberdine. Once you get to town, ask a guard. They will highlight the jewelcraft trainer's location on your minimap.

Re: Jewelcrafting
Does anybody know where's the jewelcrafting trainer for 225+? Neither Allakhazam nor Thottbott is updated with this information yet.

It's Mankirk's wife if you've never spent time as horde in the Crossroads.

Re: Jewelcrafting
It has some interesting items, notably necklaces, rings and trinkets for lower levels than you would otherwise be able to obtain them.
I made a bunch of iron knuckles (level 26 minimum iirc) to level up in the 130ish jewelcrafting range. That's the lowest level fist weapon available. I distributed a few pairs to toons that needed to level their unarmed combat skill. I've a few extra that didn't sell at auction. I've also got some extra barbaric collars and agate necklaces. Whisper me in game if you want some of these. These are high 20s to low 30s equipment.
You can also convert stones into personal healing totems. That's quite useful, but only works on yourself not the rest of the group like a shaman's totems.
There are some BOP trinkets that only jewelcrafters can use. They're decent items.

Re: Jewelcrafting
I did the same, I took my 26 level mage and did jewelcrafting. I'm never regretted. Though I don't find the craft very useful at that level, I did learn the required matts, and in selling things like mojos for absurd prices, I've made about 2500 gold or so, and bought 3 epic mounts for three of my alt toons (my main already had epic mount, so now have 4 epic mounts). I now intend to save new begotten spoils for the mount at level 70...
