Re: Britney imitates Bruce Willis
The thing that I wonder is why anyone gives a care. I know that if I shaved my head to get a tattoo, only a few people would hear about it. It would eventually get around, but jeez.

ok. firstly...
I know I would act differently. That's just who I am. I'm not saying I'm better or anything. Just that I would handle myself differently.
The "some can be cool, I guess" wasn't meant as a "it's ok if it's a fashion statement." It was meant as a "if it really means a lot to you and doesn't serve to degrade you more than it serves as a meaningful symbol to you, than that's cool, I respect that." (I feel the same way about nose-rings and the like)
I totally understand that this kind of attention can damage someone (get in their head and mess with them, I mean).
I'm not judging anyone. Not saying she's a terrible mom, or that she has terrible friends, or she's a terrible, stupid person.
She's human. I get that. I'm also curious as to what drives someone to do the things they do (genuinely interested).
And it is my business.

Re: Britney imitates Bruce Willis
We all make choices about our lives. No one is forcing her to live in the limelight. She's a rich woman, if she wanted to have her head shaved, all she had to do was call her stylist and have it done in her home, same deal with the tats. That she felt compelled to do all this in public may be a cry for help, but it is also a cry of; "look at me!"

Re: Britney imitates Bruce Willis
She just checked into rehab today I guess. Like, actually checked in, and hasn't checked out yet, so that's probably good. I don't like her "music," or anything about her really, but I certainly do hope she gets her issues cleared up. I'm sure she's under alot of pressure, and it's easy to fold underneath it.

So, um, art is about expression, right?
And, um, a tatoo is body are, right?
So, um, when someone gets a tatoo to, um, express something with their body, um, it's like none of our damn business and we shouldn't talk about it?
Yeah, um, that makes sense. Not!

Not always ... A lot of times tattoos are for personal beliefs or feelings.
With that in mind yes it is none of our business why people get tattoos.

I actually have a tattoo (which I am not sure many of you posting do.) However, my tattoo is on a place of my body that is concealed from the public 99% of the time and only a few select people know where it is. I chose to have the tattoo there because I didn't want it to be for everyone to discuss. I put a lot of thought into my tattoo (and no it is not anything that can be remotely construed as dirty, naughty, etc.) It means so much to me and me alone. Whether someone chooses to put it in a place that can be seen, still doesn't mean that people have any idea what stands for or means to that person. Britney doesn't give a smurf what you, I, or anyone else in this forum thinks about her new tattoo, this is obvious by the fact that no one has said Britney called them up personally and asked permission. She is her own self, she can do what she wants. Stop trying to be her parents, she is allowed to have a life... geez!!!!

That's fine.
However, unless Brittney has recently converted to a strict muslim sect, her tatoo is where everyone can see it - she didn't get it done to be a private tat. She's displaying it to the public, so of course the public will talk about it - just like her other tats she displays to the public (she might have some private ones, though I can't imagine where - not much real estate she doesn't display to the public)

Adding to that, we aren't telling her what to do, but we do wish her well (and that she recovers from what seems like a downward spiral).

I don't have one and won't be getting one.
Not that I have a problem with them, it just isn't my form of expression.
