New areas

Has anyone been able to get a flying mount and was able to see what types of towns/quest zones there are - only assessable by a flying mount? I wasn't able to see any info at wowinsider, or wowguru. My warlock is only 64.

Re: New areas

Places in Netherstorm are only accessable with a flying mount.  There are quests and insatnces you can only reach by flying.  I don't have the time, nor desire lol, to write them all down.

It's pretty easy to get the regular flying mount.  It costs 200g and is 800g to train. To let you know how easy it is......when I started TBC I was still riding a lvl 40 mount and had about 300g saved up.  Now I am level 70, with an epic riding mount and regular flying mount, and have around 350g.

Do the quests, stay out of instances with bad groups, don't waste money buying stuff on AH and you'll easily have enough gold when lvl 70 dings.

Good luck!

Re: New areas

Thanks a bunch! Right now Ive stopped playing my Allaince warlock and Ive gone to Horde, though it would be nice to start a new character on Horde and play it threw TBC. Thanks again for the info. I had around 500g but I used it to get my epic steed.

Re: New areas

I started TBC, I had just bought my Epic mount (The AV mount, so I saved 90g there), and I had 14g leftover. I'm level 64.6 right now, and I have almost 600g, and another hundred or so in crap I have yet to sell.

Re: New areas

Heh, that's good, Groid,  'cause I've three 60s riding the slower 40s mounts.  I've got about 1KG total at the moment.

Re: New areas

Had about 2.5k after lvl 70, right now after regular flying mount I am back up to 2.2k. The mount took me down to about 1.6 or so. Its not hard to earn up $$$ in BC tho, but I still think 5k for an epic flying chicken is BS. Now if it was a Netherdrake, I wouldn't complain cause i'd rather have one over these flying chickens we have to ride and I think they would be worth the extra cost.

Besides Tempest Keep tho and some odd areas to reach, I really haven't been all that impressed with flying mounts. If you have to get one, then get one...but i'd recommend saving your $$$ and going for a regular one just incase Blizz finally adds some better flying mount content later.
