What do you use for an email app?
I tried Mozilla Thunderbird for a couple days. I really didn't like it, so I went back to just going to gmail.com for a while ... then I remembered I had Mail on my computer. I've been using it ever since, it has a lot of good features.

Tried Mail.app, hated it. Using Entourage, hate it too. Waiting for Leopard's revision of Mail.app to try again. Also waiting for Penelope to appear in usable form to try it.

That isn't an email app. It's web based email.
I prefer Eudorka. I never could get mail.app to work for me, ad i gave up.
It feels like an app, and a good one at that.

I don't know why everyone hates on Entourage. I love having my mail, addresses, and calendar all in one and could never go back. Until Mail does that I won't use it.

Agreed.
For years I used Entourage at home and Entourage and Mail while at work. Entourage worked great for me. It was my mail servers that sucked. So I switched mail servers for all of my domains to Google Apps. I'm lovin it and I've decided to ditch the desktop mail progams and just use the gmail interface.

Re: What do you use for an email app?
I use mail to get my gmail at home and use and support ~300 macs using university smtp mail at work and we have exactly zero issues with it. (prolly our least problematic:most used app) Fast and stable with some promising changes coming up in Leopard.

I stand corrected. I don't consider web based mail to be the same as mail clients like mail.app and Eudora, though.

I love Thunderbird as well, but I don't like that it doesn't integrate well with the rest of Apple's internet suite, namely Address Book, iChat, Safari, and iCal
