BC Content!
So, since I know there are a lot of you who post here that aren't or weren't originally from Whisperwind, like the majority of us... and a lot of us that started out on Whisperwind either aren't there anymore or, or are still there in new guilds; and I was curious how do you like BC's group content so far? What's your favorite 5 man? Are you getting into Karazhan/Gruul's Lair/Magtharidon? If so, which fights do you enjoy? What do you think overall of the new content?

Re: BC Content!
Can't say to much about the raid content but the attunements stink. Run here, run there...bah...I just want something simple for attunement like MC/BWL was. It is not easy to get anywhere on WW anymore now since so many people took the free split. Unless you are in one of the remaining big raid guilds, lot of people cannot find healers anymore. Its odd but in just those few guilds who departed, I guess were also all of the reliable priests on the server. Tanks are 2nd in need right now but there are more of em to help. It just is depressing that I can't even enjoy half the endgame content because of the shortages. Rogues, hunters...really screwed right now. I could probably be in T4 right now on my Pally if I wanted to lvl it up to 70.
As far as favorite fight. How bout any fight that isn't a half dozen whipes. Seriously, some of these bosses are almost only defeatable on luck or guys with at least some epics. It isn't that the groups haven't learned em yet, they mostly have, its just Blizz made them with another idea of player in mind. Some of them I would expect to see in more of the raid instances. Same with some of the trash mobs which can get tedious trying to cut thru them all at times. Gah, I really miss ZG/AQ right now. Least I had some sense of accomplishment in them.
sigh...I acually have had more fun soloing Live Strat than I have in the lvl 70 instances. To me BC was over hyped and lacks content. I don't like it as much as others do I know. But then thats just me.

Re: BC Content!
I haven't really played all that much (damn you school!), but it's quite enjoyable. I'm workin' on my kharzan key, my guild is starting a third group pretty soon. I think we're attempting Gruul in a week as well. The 70 pvp is also a blast, and have been enjoying rolling pugs all weekend in AB - I'm not sure how much my utility will take a hit when the ProM nerf hits though.
As far as my own progress, I find the new fives mans to be a blast - I was never that big a fan of raiding, and I really enjoy the responsibility that solo healing an instance gives. Almost revered with CE/LC/HH, so I'm a few runs away from heroics. I am a bit annoyed with the sheer number of (Group) quests - my log is full of like 15 of them, and finding groups outside of instances can be a big PITA (although Ralumos and I have been doing most of the three man group quests by ourselves).

Re: BC Content!
I honestly havent really been playing much of the BC content yet. I did a few quests on my priest and hunter, then took my priest into ramparts, and got into a group that was so abysmal... The tank refused to wear a sheild, or even aoe taunt. I would wait until a few seconds into the fight and put a renew on the warrior and then instantly pull aggro on the four mobs he wasnt hitting. Eventually I would just refuse to heal him till he taunted. We didnt even make it to the first boss, and that is the last time I played on WW.
Vilkata and I rolled some horde toons on a brand new server that opened up about a week before TBC came out. I have a 36 rogue, 30 lock and 26 shaman. I havent really played the shaman much, but I leveled her blacksmithing, and have made nearly 40g in the last week selling enchanting rods
. The new server is pretty much were most of my time has gone latley, but I really have to cut back on my playing. I still havent been able to get dsl/cable where I live (going on 6+ months now :'( ), so I have pay per minuite dialup and my internet bill for the month is 225 euro (about $300... ahh, the joys of being stationed overseas
).
Anyways, back on topic. What little I saw of the BC content so far was ruined by noobs who like to make priests cry and some latency issues that arent as bad on a low population server. I dont know if I will be going back to spend much time there before I can get some flatrate broadband. Heck, I might even join a guild then too
.

Yeah, when I'm with a tank that tries to pull that I leave.

Re: BC Content!
My priest healed a run through Deadmines with a tank that didn't even have a shield. After the fourth wipe, I think he finally understood my point. I gave him the benefit of the doubt since that's the first instance and first time he'd probably needed to understand group dynamics.
OTOH, my 60 warrior escorted a crew through Maraudon a while back. Since we were doing so well, I asked the priest if she'd mind if I switched to dual wield. A 42 priest didn't understand why I asked first.
Any tank that makes it to 60+ and doesn't fully understand the nuances of grouping deserves to be on your ignore list, Chewie.
So let's run ZG and AQ, NC. With a bunch of 60+ toons it should go easy.

Yeah, if the person is new to the class I give them some slack. They'll learn eventually. But if you make it to 60, you should be a little more aware of group dynamics.

Re: BC Content!
If you haven't grouped at all to 60 then you missed a good bit of the game.

I dunno about a good bit Nag, just SM, Uldaman, ZF, and Sunken Temple, and maybe BRD... lots more after that to explore.

So you've not yet experienced EPL, Silithus or the furbies? You've still got a good deal of the regular game ahead of you. gratz

Re: BC Content!
Since leaving WW (sob) I don't pug near as often as I used to so things have been pretty fun. Guild 5 manning is just a ton of fun in BC, I love the length of the instances (not too long, so easier to not feel guilty about going), and a lot of the fights are really fun.
I'm keyed for Karazhan but haven't been able to attend yet (there's only been 2 runs so far). Sifl took a group in the other night and one shotted the first 2 bosses I believe. Really looking forward to getting in there.
So far my favorite fight has been Black Morass, except for having to clear the trash there. Love the pace of it, reminds me of a 45 Baron run. Thing I hate most: too many freakin factions...gah!
So life on Zangramarsh has been pretty entertaining so far.
