Welcome Back . . . Commodore??
Maybe this belongs in Gaming but it is news from the world of tech and gadgets:
It seems Commdore is making a comeback, as a high-end boutique gaming PC manufacturer.
Pretty cool. I remember my first computer class in 1983, using a Commodore PET and BASIC. Hoping the program I saved to the tape drive would be the tomorrow. . .

So Commodore is back and is just like Alienware or VoodooPC. Color me unimpressed.
If they bring back the Amiga, then I might be impressed. At this point, they're just another OEM peddling Windows boxes.
It is an odd thing, but every one who disappears is said to be seen at San Francisco. It must be a delightful city, and possess all the attractions of the next world.

It's not even the same company. Just someone who purchased the rights to the name and logos so they could get instant brand recognition.
Besided which, I was reared on the Apple ][ and the TI-99.

Yeah its just the brand name, although it is cool to see the old commodore logo on some of those machines.
I was a C64/128 and then Amiga user. In fact if it weren't for the commodore 64 I probably would be doing something totally different with my life these days, like being a ski bumb or a thieving street person.

Amiga is its own company these days.

Yeah, it ain't the "real" Commodore, just another me-too fake boutique system flogger milking lunch money from pseudo-wannabe gamers/lamers. To me that is the cool part - I get a laugh watching other people pay for the priviledge of watching vampires sodomise a dead horse.

It's not too late.
Purses are incredible easy to snatch - the first few arrests you get off pretty easy, and after that, you've learned how to avoid the cops.
Just be careful what country you do it in. I only type with one hand.

I used to want an Amiga 1000 for video work. A toaster would still cool to have.
Aw, he's no fun, he fell right over.
Unless you become as little children, there's no way you will believe this crap.

I have a working Amiga 1000. And indeed I have plugged it straight into my VCR and recorded my graphics demos with it. I will always regard it as the greatest computer ever designed, in a spiritual sense.

I still have my Amiga 2000 and Video Toaster. The cool thing about it is that I can say I was a Lightwave 1.0 user.
I turned it on about a year ago. It still works just fine.
