Thanks Bat.  It may have been said someware but I missed it.  I was kind of getting excited I have 5 days off or work and playing Halo 2 sounds like a good way to forget the meat life.

Well I wilbe picking this up when it somes out.  If the clan fires up again...  Count me in.  I have neer been the best at Halo but what the hay...

It's the 22nd... do you know where your H2V is? (We know; Some1's is floating somewheres on teh intarwebz, waiting to be ...acquired.)

I got kinda used to H2 and GoW on the controller, but still expect m/kb control, not to mention all the other enhancements, to make for a much better experience. ::head asplodes::

I just hope they spent the extra 2 weeks implementing a better save system.

As far as I know this is going to be the first Consol vs. PC game (I could be wrong)  I think it will be really interesting if one group has an advantage over the other because of the controller.
Any thoughts?

Believe me, it took a lot of practice- I'm not a controller guy at all. A good mouse is more precise, steadier for most of us, & much less limited in rate of angular change (up/down, L/R) than a controller at any given sensitivity setting. I leave mine set to the default 3 (of 10) and deal with it.

GoW has no auto-aim, so it should be great on PC, better than 360 on a good rig.

I believe Shadowrun will be the first Computer Vs. Console game. People were hoping H2 Vista would be, but it never came to be.

Right. Bungie and MS decided early on to keep consolers and PC players separate, probably for a variety of reasons. They cite, IIRC, probable compatibility breakage when user-made maps start to be exchanged; Xboxes likely coudn't handle some- something like that. (Remember H2V has the map editor, and multiplayer maps can be exchanged & played on Live).

However, the 360 controller is supported, so controller folks can stick with it and auto-aim will work with that setup. Should be interesting... I hope that's the only compensation (no extra m/kb nerfing to placate the consolers).
