Theres lots of programs you can use, just really have to learn how to trade off quality to get it to fit. Yeah 8KB would help a lot. Heck I could up mine to high quality if on 8KB but 6KB was set for a good reason a long time ago. 2KB may not seem like much to a single user but maybe in a large volume it would add up.
