Funny, I've never had anything but good experiences at the Rancho Store. 4 out of my 5 Mac's, my airport, my iPod and a good helping of the games my daughter plays came from there.

they depo'd my 1st gen iMac with the capacitor issue and had it back to me in 3 days, half the quoted estimate.

Different experiences for different people I guess,...

Other than not wanting to drive 70+ miles to get to an Apple store, I cant think of a reason someone would go to a Best Buy over an Apple Store. Of course personally I might go 70 miles out of the way to get a Mac itself, but not for something like a mouse or router or the like.

'Round here, you can find an Apple store five minutes in any direction.

Best Buy is much closer to me than the nearest Apple Store, which is about 40 miles away. I'd love to see an Apple Store in my city, but I wouldn't complain if Best Buy started featuring Macs in-store.

Figures. Apple puts lots of stores on the moon, but down here, they are far and few between.

  Took me a minute to figure out what you were talking about.

Now Geek Squad will be even WORSE with tech support. If they can't focus on getting windows machines working right, what makes them think they can handle macs AND windows. Then again, macs don't really need maitenence and troubleshooting, end even switching to a mac requires no assistance.

No, you would simply be acting immature.  You also would not be "helping" Apple.  Having display machines unoperative does not lend itself to a good pre-sale experience.
