I was a MacAddict subcriber since issue 5 (? I think, I know I bought a few early ones on the stands before subscribing). Back then my favorite mag was MacUser and I lived for Andy Ihnatko's column. When MacUser died, I still had MacAddict for my monthly chuckles mixed with some good articles. But mostly it was the comic wit and CD that drew me back each month and caused me to renew my subscription everytime it came due. I subscribed to MacWorld and Mac Home Journal for a while but they were just blah. Some articles were interesting, but I really didn't enjoy reading the overall mags, so they got cut.

Now MacAddict is gone and so is the fun. The Mac|Life articles are okay, most are informative but there really isn't the spark that made me look forward to MacAddict issues. Last month my subscription ran out. And I really couldn't get worked up about renewing. I'm sure that there will be articles that I'll miss out on and I may find myself stealing a look at the bookstore, but I'm afraid this boat will sail on without me.
