Comprehensive List of changes in Safari Beta3...

We are finding several changes that haven't been posted.  Let's see if we can get a big list going.  (unless someone knows of one already).

I'll start, and add to this first post as they are posted:

• Tabs now draggable and pull offable.
• Text areas are now resizable.
• New fancy inline search similar to FF, but prettier.
• Labels now affect their elements
• Form elements are stylable.
• Warning if you try to refresh a page if you have entered anything in a form.

More?

Ohh... nice, if you type in form in a page, and try to refresh, it warns you!  Try it in the quick post box, type anything and hit Apple+R

That's funny, Firefox maintains text box contents when you refresh the page.

Yeah... kinda blows that "secure" label out of the water there, eh? But, alas, it is a 1st public beta on winders, so maybe a little slack is due... just a little.

Re: Comprehensive List of changes in Safari Beta3...

Maybe, but they won't get any, at least not from Winders users.  Apple has been very outspoken about security and bills it as secure.  Not only is it not, but it is a huge freaking hole.   Win users are not going to feel the least bit benevolent toward them.

The can't hide behind the beta because Vista couldn't.  And while it is understandable as it's roots are in the WinOS largely (the ability to do something like that), WinBoys won't see it that way.

Sadly a day one exploit like that will be hard to recover from, even if there is never another one.

I did notice that typing causes the close button to get that Cocoa dot in it.

I've found an overflow: auto thing...  I haven't nailed down the exact cause yet.
