Leopard, upgrade discount?

Hi Folks,

I am planning to purchase a MacBook, or maybe Pro (Help me decide?) and can't wait 'till the release of Leopard because I have to use company funds for this in June (ya, long story).
Does Apple generally let you upgrade for a discounted price if you've made a hardware purchase like this in a certain timeframe before the release of a new OS?
It's been a while since I upgraded both HW and OS.
Thanks for any help!

Re: Leopard, upgrade discount?

Generally they make an announcement and it is from that time on.

Re: Leopard, upgrade discount?

We've known the release was October 07 for a while now. They have made no official release date beyond that and no statement of an upgrade discount so you are most likely out of luck.
