Bluetooth utilities?
Yeah, I've exhausted all of my options, and I can't figure this out any further. I have a SCH-u420 phone, and I want to "hack" it. I can get it to pair with my Mac just fine, but as a default it only supports serial and dial-up connections. I found an article on how to hack it here.
So I need a way to connect my phone via COM. I know that BlueSoleil Bluetooth allows this kind of a connection, but I can't find a similar program like that for the Mac.
Can any help me?

Re: Bluetooth utilities?
I have not tried it yet, but I'm going to see if I can use this:
http://www.bitpim.org
to grab photos and sync contacts and mp3s with bluetooth, or USB

Re: Bluetooth utilities?
Hey Hey,... i just picked up a samsung sch-u420 phone today and naturally i was interested in hacking the hell out of it as well... i found a way around the blueSoleil bluetooth by using my built in bluetooth on my titanium... so basically how i did it was i followed the tutorial in the link above until i got to the fifth step.. the
"Go to Tools->Configurations->Quick Connect..." step... instead i opened up bitpim.. went to the preferences under "Phone Type" i put "Other CDMA phone" then below that under "Com Port" rather than auto i hit the "Browse..." button. now wether this is necessary or not i had my phone set to Discoverable (may or may not need to do that) you shouldn't get any kind of error.. but if u get some kind of comm error i restarted my phone and bitpim then tried it again and didn't get an error...
once to this point you'll see under the "Available ports" 3 serial ports... i just selected "Serial (/dev/cu.SCH-U420-SerialPort-1)" then hit ok.. and ok again.. then continue with the tutorial on step 8 "Go to View->View Filesystem..." then u should be good to go... there may need to be a bit of tinkering but it works for me.
any questions or difficulties feel free to email..

Re: Bluetooth utilities?
Using Bitpim and a $3 USB cable I was able to get photos off my phone, upload wallpapers, and add midi and mp3 ringtones.
Using a program called DataPilot, I was able to successfully sync my address book on my mac with that Samsung SCH-u420 cell.
Worked great.
