Neighbor girl and her boyfriend
Okay...first time it was a little funny. Now its freaking annoying! I can hear the neighbor girl next door getting it on with her boyfriend through the walls, and outside through the windows when they are closed. She's a screamer! How do I get it to stop without making things awkward? I get along with her mom and don't want to make things weird.

Re: Neighbor girl and her boyfriend
Seriously though, if mom doesn't know her sweet little daughter is doing the nasty, you could tell the little screamer that you'll have to inform her mom if she doesn't stop. The kid will probably be embarrassed. She probably hasn't even thought about anyone hearing her.

I know were kidding here, but I've really gotta throw out the disclaimer there that such an action can be construed as giving pornographic material to minors.

She just turned 18. I am getting ready to turn 21 this summer, so its not like I'm an authority figure. I guess the next time I see her mom I'll mention something about how thin the walls seem to be sometimes and see where that goes...

Say to the mom: "Man, that dude your daughter is seeing must be hung like a horse cuz when they're gettin buzy you can her screaming from the parking lot" Make it like a complimentary comment and give her one of those "gun fingers' <click>" things as you disengage the conversation.

Mom asks, why, what have you been hearing?
Mostly sounds out your daughter's room when Carlos comes over when you're not home.

Make an audio recording, and then send it to them as a present.

Re: Neighbor girl and her boyfriend
I had sort of the reverse problem...
I bought a home theatre system, but it was pretty quiet... ie: no subwoofer.
I watched movies in the early evening (7-8pm) and at very reasonable levels.
I had upstairs neighbours who liked to have loud sex on the living room floor... daily, it seemed like.
One of them came down to ask me not to play my movies so loud. Mind you, no one else had complained. When she said "We can hear it through the floor it is so loud", I nodded and said "Fair enough. When you two stop having sex on the living room floor so often, I'll stop playing my movies". She blushed and fled and I never heard from them again.
Sometimes blunt is the only way to fix a problem. Go and talk to her... without threatening to rat her out to her mom, and she will probably be embarrassed enough that she'll cut back on the noise.
Oh... and giving her a recording would be priceless

Just tell her to shut her pie hole.
No need to bring anyone else into a problem between yourself and her (and her boyfriend, though he's just the cause, not the symptom).

Re: Neighbor girl and her boyfriend
I've complained when people have their stereos too loud. I've complained when people party too loud. I just don't like to complain about noisy sex; I just turn my stereo up or ignore it. I don't think you should have to wait to afford a house to not have to worry about making too much noise during sex.

Re: Neighbor girl and her boyfriend
Yes, but living in an apartment requires a certain level of tolerance. Noise is going to leak through the walls, no matter what. You can turn down your stereo and still enjoy it, you can ask your kids not to run screaming down the hallways at 6AM, you can wish to shoot a guided missile at the guy who sits in the parking garage with his subwoofers thumping in the middle of the night, but unless you enjoy ball gags, being silent during sex is just no fun. I try to tolerate other people and hope that they give me some leeway, too.

Re: Neighbor girl and her boyfriend
Thanks
Thing is, I never did complain either to them or management about their noisy sex. Like Geesie says... you have to make allowances for apartment life. But when they had to gall to complain to me about my movies... I kinda snapped

Quoted for the truth. It was somewhat annoying when my neighbours were going at it really hard at 2 AM before a final exam earlier this year, but I just turned on my stereo and drifted off to sleep. I'd hate if I would have to start driving to my girlfriend's place everytime the urge overcame us

Re: Neighbor girl and her boyfriend
I had a roomate once. When we both moved in we would hang out all the time, but When I got a GF I stayed at her place for weeks at a time.
I came home one day and the downstairs neighbor cursed me out calling me a fag and a homo and to stop being so loud. That night, i heard my roomy with his GF butt slappin and the neighbor banging on his ceiling.
LOL, the neighbor thought we were having some gay luvin.

Call the cops, say it sounds like a woman is being beaten to death next door.
True story, happened to a roommate of mine who was dating a screamer. They get the point after that.
You have an absolutely breath-taking... heiney. I mean, that thing's good. I wanna be friends with it.
