The back-page contest from the July 2007 issue has a doozy of a prize, so I wanted to make sure to hype it here.

The challenge is to create some time-lapse photography, and email a QuickTime movie along with an explanation of how you did it, to contest@maclife.com with the subject line Time Lapse Movie Challenge. The deadline is July 23, 2007, so you still have almost two weeks.

And the prize is stellar! It's the Pentax K10D digital SLR, which received 5 out of 5 stars and an Editors' Choice award from Mac|Life. (Too bad I can't win, 'cause I totally want this camera...)

The contest page explains in greater detail and has a link that should help you get started shooting a time-lapse movie.

I love these contest that you have been having. take pictures with a camera and win a camera. put photos together and win photoshop. print a picture and win a printer.

why don't you make the prize something other then what is needed to enter the contest.

OK, DB, if you win, I'll send you something else... smile Besides, this particular one can be done with an iSight or a PAS too. The DSLR we're giving away is phatty boom batty.

Rik, you can use whatever (well not YOU, the royal you), but we'd like you to explain your methods when you email your QuickTime movie...
