Microsoft Access alternative

Is there an Access alternative for OS X. I can't remember if one is included with NeoOffice, but ideally I would prefer a stand alone application. It's pretty much a one-time thing so even a trial package would be fine. Can MySQLread .mdb files?
Thanks.

I've been using NeoOffice heavily as an MS alternative for 6 months and have to say I love it.  When I have some cash to spare I think I'm going to donate to that project.

Re: Microsoft Access alternative

Have there been any speed increases in NeoOffice lately? I have a 933MHz with 1.12G of ram and NeoOffice would beachball like mad trying to produce a chart. This was about a year ago though.

Maybe I'll give it another shot. Thanks folks.

Re: Microsoft Access alternative

There have been a lot of updates to NeoOffice in the last year.  Should work better for you now.

Re: Microsoft Access alternative

I have just started using NeoOffice also as an alternative to MS Office.  It seems fast enough, although it is slow to start up on the PowerMac G4 1.25 SP I use at work.

Mostly Writer and Calc so far.  I'll try Database soon.
