My Color Classic has no sound
After a few attempts, I was able to turn on my Color Classic for the first time in years. The only apparent problem is that it has no sound. Anybody has any idea why this could be happening? And how could I solve it?
It's Mac OS 7.5.1

Re: My Color Classic has no sound
Find the control panel that controls sound and make sure the mute check box isnt checked or volume is turned all the way down.
I’m not ready to make nice-I’m not ready to back down-I’m still mad as hell and
I don’t have time to go round and round and round-It’s too late to make it right
I probably wouldn’t if I could-‘Cause I’m mad as hell-Can’t bring myself to do what it is you think I should

In addition to what pariah said, did you try a pair of headphones in addition to the internal speaker?

If memory serves you want to also check the system sounds CP if there is one. Basically anything that suggests a connection to any audio.

Re: My Color Classic has no sound
Once or twice on my LC II the speaker cut-off switch got stuck if I left headphones plugged in for several months. The symptoms were as described. Vigorously unplugging and replugging the headphones a few times always cleared it up.

I don't know if you've ever opened the CC case, but in case you have, you may recall that it's necessary to unplug (and remove) the speaker in order to access the drives. I would check to make sure it's plugged in. (also, make sure it's not deteriorated from mildew or something).
