Show View Options

Is there any way I can change the view options for a folder and make that the default for all finder folders?

In Windows this is the view options>View>Apply to all folders

in my experience this doesn't always work and is very annoying. especially when trying to color coordinate your different volumes. for example my main drive has a white background. on my external I have it partitioned into to volumes one is green for backups the other is pink for osx and my trash is red. this way I can tell instantly what volume I'm in. but of course this doesn't work all the time and I end up with white where the green is supposed to be and pink where it should be white and…

Re: Show View Options

The choice for "This Window Only" and "All Windows" is only available for icon and list views, not column view.
