What about something to the extent of "we reverve the right to reveal whatever information we know about you in the event of legal action against you due to your postings on this board."
or
"By posting, you give us an unlimited, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty free permission to reproduce your posts in any way whatsoever, including printing in MacAddict magazine."
etc.

Re: The user agreement needs more meat to it
The only problem with changing the user agreement at any point is that only new users would be agreeing to this. The users that have already registered agreed to a different agreement, negating any changes we make to the current agreement.

Re: The user agreement needs more meat to it
can't you make changes and require old users to either accept or leave?
I think this is pretty standard with agreements like this.

Just post a notice here that the terms have changed and link to the new agreement. If they don't like it, they don't have to contiue to post here. Every gotten a small piece of paper with your bank statement or credit card bill? That's the company adjusting the conditions of your policy. If you don't like it, you can close your account. The same thing should apply here.

You could include in there somewhere, "You agree that we reserve the right to change this agreement at any time for any reason whatsever." That seems to work everywhere else.
