Suitcase X1 smurfed??!!

Yesterday, seemingly for no reason, I was unable to activate a usual set of about 25 fonts I keep active all the time, warning pops up saying I must manage system fonts in suitcase due to conflicts. For some reason all fonts have conflicts now, my system folder doesn't actually have these fonts in it even. I started to pick away at them one by one but it isn't working. I'm so frustrated!! Please any help would be great...how do I make suitcase work again?

Trash it and download and install Lino's Font Explorer. It's free and it works...

...enough of that ish!...suitcase be gone...hello Linotype, I've been waiting for an excuse to try that one out, looks great so far, a nice change, and feels good to have a perfectly clean font collection loaded...well worth it...(so far!)

It is worth it. And you shouldn't have any problems in the future, either. I've been using it since it was in Beta with no problems. Suitcase is crud, and should have died a death ages ago.

Re: Suitcase X1 smurfed??!!

I'll also back Linotype Font Explorer. I was a big ATM fan back in the day, and didn't like Suitcase even then. I had Font Reserve, but that got freakin' bought up by Extensis, so that was now crap (well, integrated into Suitcase to make the utterly craptacular "Fusion"). At my old job we even tried Font Agent Pro, which essentially traded one set of headaches for another. Finally, I tried Font Explorer, and it is indeed, the best of them all. And free. I'm even tempted to try purchasing fonts through it - has anyone here done that? Does it work alright?
