Best Book/Site/Anything To Help With OS X Help Desk Certification
I recently was offered a job at a small business as a Mac OS X Help Desk consultant. I probably wasn't as qualified as they wanted me to be, but they said they could tell I was eager, and decided to take a shot at employing me. They want me to take the Mac OS X 10.4 Help Desk certification test, and I'm cool with that. I took the sample test and got 8 of 11 questions correct (guessing on a few.) That gave me a score of 72%. To pass the 76 question test, I need to score 62% or better. The dilemma is, they will spring the $150 for me to take the test, but I don't want to fail, and have them terminate me. What is my best free/inexpensive resource to take this test to compliment the old-fashioned self-research I am doing?
My boss says this is a pretty low level test, and thinks I can pass if I did as well on the sample test (multiple choice.) Getting 8 out of 11 questions is all fine and dandy, but a real test when the pressure is on is totally different.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Yeah, I already saw that days ago, before posting my thread (its where I took the sample test.) But, I doubt the place will let me attend a 3-day course let alone PAY for it. I guess the old fashioned way is my route.
Congrats on the 100%...bastard!!!

I botched the DHCP question after reading it too quickly.
Don't do that.

OK...that'll ENSURE I pass!
The best thing I have going for me is its multiple choice. 2 of the 3 questions I got wrong were the multiple answer ones.

9/11, however the 2 I got wrong were the questions with multiple answers and I got 1/2 and 2/3 right so really it's 10.17/11
.
If you don't already, I highly recommend listening to the Mac Geek Gab podcast:
http://www.macobserver.com/podcast/
It's a wicked resource for learning the ins and outs of your mac, with a wide range of trouble-shooting tips. I'm sure there are others out there too. On top of that read this forum (which you obviously do). It's also a great resource for tips. Good luck!
