I'm surprised no one uses the The Firewave from Griffin. I use this in conjunction with a $60 SB5 580 5.1 Creative set i picked up at best buy and the sound is just superb.

Logitech Z-4 2.1 sound system!!! Looks awesome, sounds awesome, and I can imagine it compliments the new iMac wonderfully.

Re: What Sort of Audio System Do You Use With Your Mac?
Headphones: Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro (80ohm), Grado SR-60, Etymotic ER-6i
These are all directly out of my headphone jack as I can't afford a DAC and Amp right now.
Speakers: Klipsch iFi primarily, or a $150 Phillips separable stereo system through airtunes occasionally. I usually just use headphones.

Logitech Z-5500s as well. THe wiresless rear speakser are usually only turned on when Im gaming or movie watching, because they tend to interfere with my wireless.
Other than that, they are AMAZING sounding speakers... and they use the optical jack on my MBP!!!

A set of AV123 x-ls speakers, Trends TA-10.1 amplifier, TCC TC-754 pre-amp, DAC in the Box Super Pro and Trends UD-10 USB Transport.
I'd really like to get a second TA-10.1 and a nice tube pre-amp and try my hand at bi-amping my speakers.

You must mean the Z-5450's. The 5500's are not wireless.
I'm currently just using my MBP speakers, and my Sennheiser PX-100 headphones when I need good sound. I'm waiting for the Logitech Z-4i on Amazon to have another rebate (it can get to be about $40) before I grab one.

Re: What Sort of Audio System Do You Use With Your Mac?
I've been rocking out with some Harman/Kardon SoundSticks for a few years now. They're pretty damn phallic, but they sound good. I also dig the fact I don't really need to use external volume controls, they're USB audio, and I can lump them into a hub with everything else.

Re: What Sort of Audio System Do You Use With Your Mac?
For listening to my iTunes library, I use my JBL Encounter speakers. Solid 2.1 system.
For my audio work, I use a bunch of wicked expensive smurf, at least considering the money my dad and I usually spend on stuff.
B&W CM4 Speakers
Bryston 4B SST Amp
VTL TL-2.5 PreAmp
Really Comfy Couch
Oh man does Dark Side of the Moon sound spectacular on that setup.

Re: What Sort of Audio System Do You Use With Your Mac?
I don't generally listen to music on my computer, so I am not overly worried about fidelity. I use a pair of Altec Lansing dual input (i.e., two computers connected) powered speakers, which generally sounds fine for system sounds and audio for games, etc. I occasionally use a pair of semi-generic "can" headphones if I want better sound & / or don't want to disturb people.
Music is usually via my iPod in my car or with headphones.

Re: What Sort of Audio System Do You Use With Your Mac?
I just use the built in speaker on my Sawtooth. It sounds like crap but most of the time I have the sound muted anyway so it doesn't matter. Sometimes I'll plug in a set of headphones if I want listen to music late at night.

My system:
via usb:
Digidesign mBox out to a Mackie 1402 mixer.
For speakers, I have a pair of Alesis Monitor Ones, with matching R100 amp.
Or, on the other side of my loft, via airtunes:
An Onkyo receiver with a pair of Genelec 1029a speakers.
