At least they include a DVI to VGA adaptor now.

Yes, we saw (them).

And they always did include the adaptor.

Hmm, mine didn't. hmm

Re: Mac Mini

Odd considering even my sister's first revision came with it. I'd say something got missed on the packing line especially if you bought it new.

Re: Mac Mini

Yep, I remember having to go out and buy one cause I didn't have one in the house at the time. Couldn't connect it to the VGA monitor...

Re: Mac Mini

I ordered a new mini to replace my 2.5 year old g4 mini. Sold the old one for 300 euros, bought the new one for 300 more. Instead of messing with upgrading some parts, just replacing the whole computer seems to make more sense nowadays :-)

Re: Mac Mini

I'd use it as a media pc.  I think it is a better idea than the AppleTv, anyway.  But for some reason I can't whip out the plastic.

I really want it to cost five hundred... Oh well.

Interesting to note that there aren't any refurbs left either.

How many of you getting new Minis are getting them now or waiting for Leopard?

Ordered mine the same day as the update. Had been waiting for an update, any update, since about December. Wasn't going to wait another day. I can't believe this minor update took nearly a year. I don't really care that the update is so insignificant, just that it took so long.

Used minis seem to really hold their value. I can hardly believe the prices I see for them on eBay.

Minis also make great external HDs. :-)

Yeah, and I think the most important thing, no matter when you choose to buy, is the new minis now offer full 64 bit support.  Seems like at WWDC they really emphasized that Leopard was a full 64 bit OS.  Leopard on intel will be great, especially if its 64 bit.

Yep, now the entire line is 64 bit and has Gigabit Ethernet. Even the Airport Extreme was quietly updated to Gigabit Ethernet as well. That was a big oversight when it was originally released but at least they fixed it now.

Re: Mac Mini

I'm buying a new Mini, but I'm waiting until Leopard.  It just seems silly to spend $129 more than I have to, especially when I also lust after the new wireless keyboard.

October is less than 8 weeks away (but when in October will we see Leopard?!?)

We can always hope early but their recent track record has shown that they mean the end of whatever time frame they give.

Re: Mac Mini

Just ordered one tonight, to replace my first generation mini.  Since I already have a great new monitor, just couldn't justify the extra expense of an iMac and I'm just not patient enough to wait for Leopard's arrival.  I'll just have to cough up the extra bucks when the time comes.
