Unfortunately they also ditched the staffvids that in my opinion was both the primary reason for the cd and the best part of the magazinesubscription.

Maybe the new staff members just don't care about that sort of thing.

Not to mention the fact that there is no disc anyway, so there's no place for a staff video. wink Times have changed. Hope you all know that if you want some non-text based media, there is an audio podcast as well as the occasional video online. They're not bashing PCs anymore (that's so 90's, no?) but one might find these more informative. And look, you don't even need to subscribe. wink

So. How about those subscription numbers. They picked up yet?

Spirit was crushed; now is fading, But I want to help make things right.

So why don't we both either stand up and fight
Or at least together we'll call it a night.

Re: Does it upset anyone else...

Well I just meant for this to be about the articles being on the site before I get my issue, but I guess it just turned into a "lets bash maclife" party.  Its no macaddict but its not as bad as you are making it out to be.  I like the new editor.

It isn't my meaning to bash Mac|Life I like to say firstly. The reason I choosed MacAddict in the first place was because it was no other magazine like it when I started subscribing and joined the forums - still isn't - and I love the staff.

What I meant about the video is that, if there where an interest, you could still be making one a bit now an then and make it available for download. The videos you make now are informative how-to's. Though useful it's not the same thing as a video that'd make me ROTFLOL.

About the Podcasts - Though I do subscribe I still haven't found time and place to listen to them.

I know I don't need to subscribe but it took such much work to get this one going plus the fact that I signed up for it two or three issues before the eol of MacAddict, that I'm going to let it run until the end which is in november 2008-

[cynical]Now about that argument above - you don't have to subscribe - well if thats the argument you let rule when making Mac|Life I really can't see the point of making the magazine at all but maybee that's the whole idea. Put enough material on the webb and finally people realize that they don't have to subscribe and you can quietly kill the magazine alltogether, leaving more time for podcasts and online only material[/cynical]

was that too cynical 4 u?
eek
