Re: Show us where you are on the political compass.

Wow - mine was almost interesting. The odd part is, I always figured I was on the right, not the left. I also figured I was much more libertarian. Of course, there weren't really enough questions for a nuanced result. I've seen much better personality tests, that tend to rephrase a question differently to see if you respond consistently.

Still, an interesting side-line.

Economic Left/Right: -0.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.36

I've gone a bit more to the left.  Guess living in the Bay Area has had an effect...

When you are troubled, it's better not to think about it, but to keep busy with more cheerful things.

What the hell kind of question is this?

Economic Left/Right: -6.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.03

I could bore you with a philosophical tirade about freedom and tyranny, or try and explain to you what new horizons are suddenly open to me, but I doubt you would understand and if you did it might frighten you.  That amuses me.

I'm fairly surprised that I'm not further to the right.

Also, I like the "bias" of the measurement, that being pro-business and pro-authority puts you in the "positive number", whereas you anti-law commies have both measurements represented as negative numbers.

Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim.  Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet."  They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew.

Wasn't a direct image link som much as a link to the page with the chart on it. Apparently the forum software doesn't think it's a valid link if there's a return between the url tags.

A little more libertarian than I thought I'd be, given my views on abortion.
