If we wanted to be really un-PC, we could all do the Belief-O-Matic quiz...

That's a screwy test. Beside every atheist option was:

Or not sure. Or not important.

I just took it:

1.     Secular Humanism (100%)
2.     Unitarian Universalism (91%)
3.     Theravada Buddhism (90%)
4.     Nontheist (81%)
5.     Liberal Quakers (72%)
6.     Neo-Pagan (67%)
7.     Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (57%)
8.     New Age (48%)
9.     Reform Judaism (46%)
10.     Mahayana Buddhism (46%)
11.     New Thought (43%)
12.     Scientology (43%)
13.     Taoism (40%)
14.     Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (37%)
15.     Hinduism (34%)
16.     Orthodox Quaker (34%)
17.     Sikhism (34%)
18.     Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (29%)
19.     Jainism (28%)
20.     Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (28%)
21.     Eastern Orthodox (28%)
22.     Islam (28%)
23.     Jehovah's Witness (28%)
24.     Orthodox Judaism (28%)
25.     Roman Catholic (28%)
26.     Bahá'í Faith (21%)
27.     Seventh Day Adventist (21%)

How the HELL do they place me as 28% Mormon?

I still believe in liberalism today as much as I ever did, but, oh, there was a happy time when I believed in liberals.

Re: Show us where you are on the political compass.

You can tell that quiz was written by Americans because it asked for opinions on social issues that have nothing to do with religion. Indeed there wasn't a whole lot of theology in that thing.

But for what it's worth ...

1.     Unitarian Universalism (100%)
2.     Liberal Quakers (92%)
3.     Neo-Pagan (91%)
4.     Mahayana Buddhism (86%)
5.     New Age (85%)
6.     Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (82%)
7.     Secular Humanism (82%)
8.     Taoism (75%)
9.     Theravada Buddhism (74%)
10.     New Thought (71%)
11.     Scientology (71%)
12.     Hinduism (68%)
13.     Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (66%)
14.     Reform Judaism (64%)
15.     Jainism (58%)
16.     Sikhism (54%)
17.     Bahá'í Faith (52%)
18.     Orthodox Quaker (52%)
19.     Nontheist (42%)
20.     Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (29%)
21.     Orthodox Judaism (26%)
22.     Seventh Day Adventist (26%)
23.     Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (23%)
24.     Islam (21%)

I've never even heard of some of the ones in my list either or more accurately, was ignorant of the variations. Like Theravada Buddhism, who's heard of that? Buddhism sure but theravada?

Well, there are different sects of Buddhism just as there are Christianity. I tend to associate them with the geographical areas in which they are predominant.

I think the questionaire is quite poor. The questions are too black and white as well as minimal. Moreover, I dont think it touches on nearly enough issues, but focuses too much on some.
