Well, she's not asked him for money yet, and she's flying from a small Russian town that he couldn't pronounce to Moscow to deal with some government things before she heads out here. His self-convincing that she's not asked him for any money yet means that it's not some sort of scam. Guess I'm going to have to do a hunt tonight to find cases where people got smurfed.

Is he so stupid? Sure he doesn't know and it isn't that he doesn't care?

Women in economically depressed countries will do almost anything to get into the US, even marry someone they don't know that probably can't get anyone here.

There was a guy who lived not far from here, and he had a mail order bride. A nice Filipino  lady. This was before internet, they corosponded by snail mail before she came here. I don't know how they were introduced, but people who knew him better than I insist that she was a "Mail Order Bride"
They really made a life togeather. He died a few years back. She still lives in their house. She is getting older, and her children, their children, keep an eye on her, but she is still, you know, vital. Still drives, ect.
