Wireless mouse for laptop?

Can you recommend a good wireless mouse for my travels? I don't want to lug around a big mouse nor do I want to worry about the dongle, so I prefer a mouse whose dongle can fit into its underside when not in use. The more buttons the better, and tracking quality is fairly important. What do you use and do you like it? I'm thinking of hopping on Newegg and buying a nice little mouse before my travels start so let me know what you recommend! Thanks.

They say that the most secure computer is the one not connected to the internet.
That's why security experts recommend Telstra BigPond.

Here is the mouse that I currently use with my MacBook and with my desktop on occasion.

It has a micro-receiver that slides into the belly of the mouse ensuring that it is off when you are transporting it.  Convenient place to keep it from getting lost as well.

I give it 5 out of 5 stars.

Well, I think the Mighty Mouse's buttons and trackball the smurfing devil.
Moreover, I usually have RF interference problems with BlueTooth gadgets when I'm at home.

Right now I'm looking at the Logitech VX Nano. It's essentially a more portable version of the MX Revolution with a tini tiny USB antenna that's not an accident waiting to happen.

I was skeptical before I had a look, but that USB-Antenna is quite neat, esp. compared to all the other stupid designs I've seen.

Here's the VX Nano being plugged into a MacBook / PowerBook:

I'm a bit curious about reception. That antenna is super small.

Re: Wireless mouse for laptop?

i don't get the whole portable mouse thing.
i use a Logitech Revolution MX with my MacBook...
i found it more comfortable than the VX.
it is not like the VX is that much smaller.
teh MX fits in my normal bag just fine.
