I don't care what the alleged concept is. The last two movies were poorly written, poorly acted, and poorly directed.

Except for the 3rd one, I couldn't tell good directing but I can see bad directing and they weren't bad, they hold true for the first trilogy too. Acting was subpar and the dialog is stilted and laced with things people never say.

Can't robots with AI change as they gain experience? Don't see how Boba is "absurdly sadistic" is a joke when he's being raised by a Bounty Hunter. Movie was already over 2 hours long and yet you want character development of a minor player? And the robot factory is pretty much like the speeder chase in Jedi or the Snow Speeder run in Empire or the Death Star trench run in ANH? And the Yoda scene doesn't succeed because of the "ironic gag", though that increases the enjoyment, but because we find it believable that Yoda can muster the use of the force to engage in battle.

No color, it absorbs light, ie. black hole saber, hit my saber with your colored one, it absorbs its light (& power) thus destroying your saber and stripping all electrons from your body when it makes contact, thus causing your polarity to shift dramatically to the positive and you die a horrible atomically charged electrocution

Purple for me, Deep Purple, I like the glow it gives off, it goes well with the crimson color of BLOOD.

Thanks, comes from 2 B.S. degrees, 1 A.S. degree, love of sci-fi, and growing up with my nose in books, since I was a kid.

P.S. About only subject I have no education in is Physics(well, and Psychology too). If I did, I have this nagging feeling I would have already thought up how to create anti-gravity & force-fields (theoretically speaking). Will have to go back for some continuing education classes for that, tho. I've had training in Accounting, Business, Biology, Genetics, Law, Math, Music, & Programming.

Among other things, the director is responsible for getting a decent performance out of the actors. While the original series might have had a "good grief" acting moments, I doubt if anything compares to, say, the scene in AotC where Anakin's mother dies. I like the way Lucas directs action scenes. If there aren't any real people involved, he's pretty good.

Sure, a robot with AI can change. But is it the job of the audience to try to guess why a character we're already used to from 3 other movies is now nothing like what he "used" to be? The writer needs to give the audience a reason to expect and believe in such a significant change.

I don't believe that the kid we see as young Boba would grow up to be the cold and calculating bounty hunter we see in Empire. Now, Jango is a lot like Boba, though a bit flatter, so, by the same token, I don't buy Boba as Jango's kid. With the way young Boba cheers for Obi-Wan's death in the asteroid field, I expect him to grow up to be a sort of laughing mad-man, like The Joker or something.

As for Jango being a minor character, he plays a big role in setting the events of the movie in motion, plus he's the guy the clones are made from, plus he's the guy who's supposed to be bad-assed enough to take on Mace Windu (otherwise why both with their little showdown?), plus he has to live up to the legacy of the original Boba Fett. So, yes, I think we should get more development of him.

I suppose one can make the argument that any action scene is fodder for video-games, or reminiscent of video-games, but this one just looked a little bit too much like Super Mario Bros for me.

How many other ways might Yoda have used the Force to confront Duku? I think it's pretty obvious that that scene is set-up as a joke, but my big problem with it is that it undermines what should have otherwise been a dramatic moment. There's no joke when Obi-Wan fights Vader, when Han gets frozen, when Luke fights Vader in Cloud City, when Luke confronts the Emperor in Jedi, yet those movies do have some funny moments, they're just used more appropriately.

Good guys win every lightsaber duel of I and II and the universe keeps getting worse and worse.

Don't know if I would call a stalemate in which Annakin loses his arm a 'win' in AotC nor Qui Gon (sp?) dieing in #1 a good thing. Looked like both really were a stalemate.

In both cases the main bad guy fails to accomplish primary objective and only expendable good characters/character body parts are destroyed.  In 4,5,6 good guy either dies, runs away, or is totally at the mercy of evil guy.
