I wonder if the technology is really coming, or if it's just a ploy for investment? Wishful thinking...

A reclusive company called EEStor is hyping its ultracapacitors. These devices are not new, but the company claims a 400-fold increase in energy storage compared to current tech. If their claims are true, this will change everything (and make EEStor's owners obscenely wealthy).

Any report of a break-through new technology that spends the first 5-10 paragraphs talking about the impacts the technology could have, rather then the techology itself, is suspect in my book.
