No, Mod Squad has now been renamed "Moderator Room" so that it's bland and dry and matches everything else.
Spirit was crushed; now is fading, But I want to help make things right.
Because I can see and I can feel, and you can see and you can feel
So why don't we both either stand up and fight
Or at least together we'll call it a night.

Nope, you see moderators and admins can actually understand more complex names like Mod Squad while the rest of the forum goers would think it would be a place for them to ask about kittens.

Re: Proposed forum changes: Autumn 2007
the difference between "everyday tech" and "tech news" is so subtle and arbitrary that it is a pain.
very un-mac-like.
and it is a hassle for readers and i imagine mods as well.
circuit board was not broke.
but you fixed it alright.

...being a moderator here is obviously stressful. More than it used to be. There are certain things about these forums that even the moderators have no control over. Like the complete lack of page titles. And the utter lack of staff contact. No one who visits these forums has server access, and the staff won't contact the administration here to give them server access, so no one can fix the page titles and avatars.
...It was broke. It's still broke, to a degree. The next thing would be getting the magazine's attention to fix things like the page titles and the avatars. I'm not sure of any way to contact the magazine about this issue other than through the podcast(1-877-404-1337 ext 622). Who knows, if enough people contact the magazine about these forums, maybe they could even be persuaded to implement themes again. But the only way to actually fix the things which are broke is to indicate to the magazine that these forums are important.
You know, some of us live within driving distance of the magazine's offices. I have a beautiful photo somewhere of my Z28 back in its heyday, sitting in Imagine Media's parking lot. Now Imagine's called "Future," and their Shoreline Court address can't be more than a minute's walk from their old locale.
I see this going down in one of two possible ways:
Scenario A: Bren finally gets off his ass, embraces life, and realizes his long-held, secret dream of working for MacAddict Magazine. I mean Mac⁄Life. Happily employed on the Magazine's staff, he uses his considerable influence to advocate for the cause of the MacAddict Forums. I mean Mac€Life Forums.
Scenario B: Bren shows up at their offices tomorrow with a list of demands. Written with a Sharpie permanent marker.
On his flesh.
Depending on length of list, Bren may or may not be wearing pants.
Are you listening, Mac‡Life?
No, of course you're not listening, 'cause you NEVER pay attention to us!
But you will be.
Yeah...
You will be.

If someone is showing up at the office with their body covered with a Sharpie manifesto please send me an email before hand.
I'll get the video camera.

I just want the page title to show the thread title. WHY IS THAT SO HARD? It's NOT! Because I know what punBB's code looks like. And in order to not have the title up there, they had to purposely remove the code.
Why?
WHY?
What is the POINT?
