Hey send it my way. I'd love to use it to clobber people who annoy me. I would be feared!

I want to win this bag because I am a middle school teacher and nothing intimidates preteens like a large leather. It's the academic equivalent to welding a bull-whip in class. It'll make me feel like Indiana Jones. As far as bench pressing as much as the MacLife staff, a smart man uses his brain more than his brawn.

I absolutely need this bag! My first child, a gorgeous baby girl was born the same day verizon released the iPhone! I've already been poked fun at when carrying the diaper bag which I've been putting my iPad in. This has to stop. iPads need to be carried in style and I need a BIG bag for my MacBook Pro too. I need your help making a cool dad cool again! Or be forced to lose a hip young MacLife daddy forever. Save me!!!

I am a Full time Soldier, Federal Agent, Graphic Design Student (at SCAD), Husband, and Father; so I could use this bag for all of these (probably all at once). But with the Govt. Pay and all the expenses that come with the aforementioned "titles" this is the only way I could ever get it. :)

About bench-pressing more than the MacLife editors...um... what is bench-pressing? Ah... I am just going to say no.

avatar

rakurowski

This case would put the finishing touches on "the look" for my next Indiana Jones trip.

I live in NYC so caring heavy bags in no sweat here. I do it all the time. I beat the crap outta every bag I have except the leather ones and I can't find a leather one I like and can afford that will hold my MacPro!

avatar

dnaidoff

You'd see that bag all up and down the bump runs at Sun Valley, Idaho next winter. It'd help me out a lot when I'm skiing because I never seem to have that extra pocket for my car keys and iPhone. What's a bench press?

avatar

john.rolfe

Ph, I dare you to send me that bag...you won't. I'm not even sure if I want it anyway.
As far as out benching them...yes. I can.

avatar

pyurowitz

Old looking and beat up. The perfect bag for an old, beat up techie like me. The bag's been around the block and so have I. We'll give each other credibility. A perfect match.

WOW .. I have to have it ... I just bought a 26 Foot Leather Indiana Jones whip and this bag would make my setup complete .. And i know it WILL hold all 50 of MAC|LIFE mags .. Hows that for strength!

avatar

pao0829

The caress of that fine leather and prestine look of the bag will just make my trip to work a whole lot meaningful. Plus the glances from everyone checking it out the bag. Eyeing it with jealousy would be totally priceless.

I could definitely use that bag to help with my daily load of school gear. I'm a photography student that carries 42+ lbs of gear a day. That is two Nikon camera bodies, 5 lenses, a flash, a camcorder, MacBook Pro, two 1TB hard drives, tripod, accessories, iPhone, iPod and finally my books. Not only would it help carry that gear, it'll make me look cool and stylish. Don't you want to help me be stylish? I think you do!

I've been looking for a dependable bag for over a year now. My current briefcase is used to carry around my MacBook Pro 17' laptop along with other less important stuff. The problem is the handle of my briefcase is falling apart. Instead of a leather handle I now have a very professional looking white styrofoam handle.

This super-macho leather bag would be perfect for me... for a long time!

Your generous offer of a chance to win this phenomenal bag has not gone unnoticed. We all appreciate your generosity, but for worthiness alone, you may select randomly.

Thanks, again!

avatar

Tronajohn

As one of the prop masters for the TV show Modern Family I need this bag to use for one of my actors and then after that episode airs use it myself as an " as seen on" Modern Family prop.

avatar

gould72

friends got one, great bags!

avatar

superfletch

I would like that bad boy because it looks cool... plus I'd look cool using it. Send it on over. :D

I live in the ghetto. A storage solution that doubles as a weapon would be very helpful. Please?

My medium Saddle Back isn't big enough for my 15.4 and will look more impressive for my pic on the steps of the Canadian Supreme Court building.

avatar

I carry everything with me. My macbook, Ipod, Iphone (yes they are redundant), files, folders, hard drives, thumb drives, chords, extension chords, pens, glasses. You name it, I have it with me.

Bring on this monstrous bag of beauty. I will put it through its tests and look good doing it.

Thanks for the opportunity.

I want this briefcase because it is the toughest and most functional leather briefcase on the planet…

This won't be my next leather briefcase…it'll be my last. As Saddleback leather says, everyone will be fighting for this baby after I'm dead…

So what do I love about this briefcase? Well this is the type of briefcase Indiana Jones would use. This bag will protect my Macbook, iPad, and even has a pocket for my iPhone!! This bag can be beaten and banged around and will only look better with age. That's because this full-grain leather bag will grow in personality and character as it ages with me.

Whether I'm in a meeting at the office or traveling around the globe, I'll fit in and stand out at the same time.

The Saddleback description of gentleman who chooses Dark Coffee Brown fits me perfectly:
◦ Loves the outdoors - I'm an avid outdoorsman
◦ Is the best friend of many people - I have lots of friends
◦ Reads a lot of books - I love reading..especially on my iPad!!
◦ Loves big dogs - I have a few too many big dogs (5) but I love them all
◦ Intellectual - I'm pretty smart…which is why I deal MacLife :)
◦ Loves adventure - Happiness is a journey…not a destination and I love adventure
◦ Independent - As an independent thinker, I don't always follow the herd...
◦ Musical - OK, I admit that I'm not musical, but I love listening to music on my iPhone!!

This is a bag that will stand up to multiple deployments from the mountains of the Hindu Kush to the desert of Iraq and the countless places in between. It will be the one piece of equipment I will likely not ever have to replace. Thanks for the consideration.

avatar

gaelicdude77

Mac-enthusiast + Indiana Jones = ME with this sweet Saddleback leather bag!

avatar

hbowie

I want this bag because, in this age of shiny synthetic lightweight backpacks and rolling plastic briefcases, someone needs to uphold our proud heritage of slinging several pounds of weathered animal hide over our shoulders for the purpose of carrying books, papers, computers and other tools for preserving, conveying and enhancing human knowledge; after all, reading, writing and thinking are the greatest adventures of humankind, and we need visible symbols that remind us of this. And yes, if you guys are groanin' about carrying eight pounds of leather only as far as your local bar, then I believe I probably can bench-press more than the MacLife editors!

avatar

joshespo9

The monstrous messenger would be used to carry my reference books. I COULDN'T OUT BENCH my sister. Editors got me, No Doubt!!!!! Thanks

I bought one of these for my son for Christmas and it is awesome. It would hold my MacBook Pro in style. I doubt that I can out bench press any of the Mac|Life staff but I would love to try.

I want it because I'm a cowboy, a surfer, a badass, a computer "geek", a Harley rider, yet at the same time manage to be somewhat sophisticated, elegant, even practical at times, & just downright gaudy; I might have to get a pair of cowboy boots if I win this thing & you hook it up, Yee-haw!

avatar

I already own a 500 lb gorilla, so a 500 lb Saddleback leather bag is my next acquisition! I've been salivating over this bag since I acquired my first Macbook Pro - choose me! choose me!

So with all of my pent up Mac computer snobbery that I am forced to hide these days, a big bag like this will help me carry it around without spewing it all over the place to poor unsuspecting Windows users. I mean, even when I am carrying around a cool Swiss bag with my Macbook Pro and iPad and Iphone now as well, it still communicates my disdain for all things WIndows based. A really cool and awesomely large leather bag like this will serve to humble me somewhat in time.... Just a thought... Besides, I really like leather stuff too...so much so I moved to Montana some 24 years ago to be closer to cows...

A tough as nails leather bag, built for high-tech gear? Well, that's rarer than a day without violence in Juarez.

I read your review and heard the Saddleback siren's call…Leather and metal tough enough to get you detained at the airport. Compartments adaptable for commuting to the city or camping in Cambodia. A lifespan counted in human generations rather than iPod iterations.

I want a bag that will live on long after I'm cold in the grave.

And as for questioning my ability to out-bench-press you prissies at MacLife, just be happy I don't swindle your iPads and steal your wives. The answer is an emphatic yes.

It must weigh a TON but I know I'd use it

Sweet, solid, leather satchel...here's hoping.

avatar

I would love this bag. I would use it to look like Indiana Jones with a MacBook!

avatar

MacMomOf4

Sure would come in handy with 4 kids and one being 3 months old. I could keep diapers, formula, all my Apple gear in thus thing. Would also Wien great fir sneaking snake into the movies for the kids, hehehe.

avatar

This bag is nice. I don't think I can bench more than the editors collectively.

avatar

mrglv

Beauty is in the eye of the bag-holder. It may be heavy, but at least it's difficult to open.

avatar

JohnReints

As a rugby player and avid MacLife reader I would want to put all 50 Issues of MacLife in the bag for quick reference and a work out. Thats 27 pounds of MacLife!! ( Yes, I weighed them) I think this is the only bag that can handle the Job.

As far as the bench-press goes... I'm a rugby player.

avatar

Ewright

I want this bag because it will last longer than any other bag I have ever owned! And, yes, I think I can bench press more than some of your editors.

avatar

benlind

Wow, I could use one of those. Looks like it came right out of LOTR or Harry Potter.

avatar

galoalava

It looks interesting.
It will be great to have one of these bags.

avatar

Atarpley

I don't even care if it's 500 lbs. Beautiful!

Sign me up...
The Indiana Jones look is for me...

The combined epicness of me and the saddleback would be enough to convert a room of windows fanboys to OSX.

Sadly, I probably could not out bench press the editors, but the weight of this bag would help me train.

avatar

Yeehaa! Ride'em cowboy! That right there is the finest bag west of the Pecos. Got to get me one uh them there western style leather bags to carry my gen-u-ine hand-forged tin star MacBook Pro with four gigabytes of rootin' tootin' RAM and five hunert gigabyte wagon wheel drive.
Well now, I don't rightly know about bench-pressin'. But I kin outshoot, outride, and outrope them editors any day. If'n you thinks you kin beat me, then come on down to the K.O. Corral and git ready to thrown down - 'cause it's gonna be a hoedown.

avatar

I need to win this bag to carry my new Macbook. I have just switched over from PC, and when I was considering the switch I went to my local Chapters and was browsing this mag. The issue I read had the review on it, and I fell in love.

avatar

Cyberbiker

That bag looks as old and beat up as I do.
