Nice bag, would be a nice home for my MacBook - anything less would be sad.

avatar

nick.buth

Looks like this bag would be good for when I'm on my shift at the Pony Express out in the wild West.

Or I guess it would be good to hold my text books, my MacBook Pro, a few external hard drives, A/C adapter, maybe even tuck my 50D in there. All those sorts of things that a Mass Comm/Graphic Design/Photography major needs.

On to the editors, is that combined or individually?

I'll be your huckleberry!
Wow, that's a great looking bag that would probably last a couple of life times! The bag sure would look great going into work (I'm and officer in Texas) and an avid Mac user. A throwback to the saddle bags from back in the day!

Y'all have a great day.

To feel the LOVE (and weight) of all of those who haven't switched to digital and only have real hardcover (and weightful) versions, specially those entrepreneur-related ones (right?)...And all the written laws needed for court (positivist!! :S)

Dear MacLife:

I'm interested because my horse up and died and now I'm stuck carrying all his crap. And, after carrying all this stuff around for a month, I'm pretty sure I could out-bench most journalists. Seriously do you have any idea how large a pair of earbuds a horse uses? Then there's his GPS and all the spare batteries he insisted on because "Oh, I can run so much farther than YOU can." (Sometimes, I have no idea why I put up with him for as long as I did.) Anyway, I suppose could just throw everything on eBay, but I was kind of attached to the old guy. I mean, he was a pain in the saddle, but he was MY pain in the saddle, you know? Besides, it's really hard to find a bridle with a built-in iPod pocket. So Trigger and I would both be honoured to participate in your contest - it was his subscription, anyway.

I'd love a Saddleback leather bag. I'm in the military, so I'm plenty strong to carry around a mere 7.5 lb bag :-)

avatar

oduibne

I really need to have this bag, as it would match my Fedora, and besides I already have a whip. As far as bench pressing more than the editors? Silly question, of course I can! If I think I can carry around a 3 buckled beast like this briefcase I certainly can bench press more than the editors!

avatar

xintelinsanex

I want it to protect all of my apple gear. as for bench pressing more than the editors? meh, who knows.

avatar

beatkiddo

I just like it!!! Leather is good and comes from animals...so nothing is wasted and used. ;-)

I could probably not bench press more than anyone in the office...as I don't go to the gym. Hate it! I much rather enjoy being outside i nthe fresh air...like right now, it is a nice 60-70's out. No snow in sight!

avatar

kelon521

I can use it for school and travel, also as an ex service member who lifted heavy machinery as part of the job description i think i have the bench press competition with your editors already won.

Hey guys I love this bag it makes me feel like Indiana Jones!

Ever see that Travelers Insurance commercial where the dog is gong through anguish because he does not think any place or thing is safe for his bone. That's the way I feel about my Macbook Pro, and brand new IPad. That is until I saw this thing... this would be my Travelers Insurance for my toys. If you have not seen the commercial well let me say it is really touching seeing that poor dog moving his bone from back yard to bank to sitting in his dog bowl.

That's it I aint got anything else

I a 47 and back in College due to the economy trying to get a new degree, and I am carrying a "Heavy Course Load" and could use a strong bag to support it all!

avatar

greggmcb

Great bag for carrying the computer, the puppy and perhaps even a severed head. Although that would probably make it a tad too heavy.

avatar

narniafan

I could use it to hold stuff. :D
Strength and durability are a plus too.

avatar

a13lbham

I could use a 500 pound bag to keep my Mac Mini, Iphone and MBP all in the same place while I practice bench pressing. At this time I have completed my training and am confident that I can bench press more than the MacLife editors. I hesitate to actually perform such a feat though, as it may rip my arms off. Thanks!

avatar

samdonovan

Man, that would hold ALL my papers. AND my Macbook. AND $500.

I don't need to bench press. I have a treadmill and I use it. A lot. If you like I can put this beautiful saddle bag next to my treadmill.

avatar

What a great multi-purpose, carry everything including the kitchen sink kind of bag!!! As a newspaper man I am on the road constantly. A bag like this would let me carry my Macbook, iPad, camera, lenses, and everything else that currently finds its way to the floor board of my mobile office! A must-have bag.

avatar

myric

I'm 6'5", 245 and need something more in my size to carry the laptop and related junk around. Anything else and it looks like I tried to cram my stuff into one of my wife's clutch purses.

Unless the staff brings in a bench pressing ringer like Žydrūnas Savickas or Brian Shaw (the winner and runner up of the 2010 World's Strongest Man competition) I'm pretty sure I can hold my own.

avatar

mt_va

Something with that heft and appearance will add gravitas to my gadget obsession.

Don't know about bench pressing, but I bet I could beat the editorial staff in a no-holds-barred round of combat hang gliding.

avatar

silversurfer20

I think I could use this for a multi-pupose bag! I could put all my "stuff" in it and ward off possible saddle bag bandits with a swift blow to the head with my trusty bag-o-plenty!

avatar

Iplante

I have been known to carry 8 laptops at once up and down stairs (I'm a chic and petite) while our business manager whom I share technology responsibilities with (a guy) moves computers a few feet by putting them on a chair with wheels..

avatar

I'm hoping I win, my 2 year old has been looking for a saddlebag for our St. Bernard!

avatar

I'm going off to college next year. I would love a massive bag to carry all the massive textbooks I'll need. Plus, it's a computer engineering degree with a minor in music; I need all the nerd chic I can get my hands on.

As for the physical prowess, I'll probably be able to take on the world after a year of lifting this behemoth around campus.

avatar

Hi-C

Husband unemployed... wife unemployed... general all around gloom... 2 freaked out kids... Interview after interview and nothing.

Thought about trying to be cute and witty but simply don't have any of that left in me right now.

And honestly I don't know anything about the editors or their physical prowess.

avatar

saltbreakers

I need it to carry my analog and digital tools and to look more like Indiana Jones and less like a homeless artist.

I am sure all the Mac|Life editors could beat me in bench pressing but I can knit like a champ.

avatar

massam82

I can't not bench press more than the Mac|Life editors. Also, I'm not really sure what bench press means. I assume it's related to benchmarks and computer testing, or it's some way to make coffee. Possibly, it's some way to make coffee while running computer tests.

I'm not going to lie: I've been eyeing this bag like a pimply junior high boy eyes his friend's mom: creepily and sweatily and dejectedly. As a grad student, this can help me "class it up" and turn the tables. Now the co-eds will be eyeing me creepily and sweatily and dejectedly. Not to mention, this fine hunk of leather would be a major upgrade from the circa-2001 Jansport I carry now.

Bag me, please!

avatar

berriac

I would love that bag I want to be like Indiana...

I am 6'8, 265lbs.

Although not made for giants, I may make use of the human-size bag.

A bag you could put your grandchildren in...pretty please..
You guys rock..(c'mon and play freebird)

avatar

I think I can bench press more than Susie and Flo, but Ray, you and the great Roberto can certainly out press me.

Therefore, this bag would be perfect for me so that I can bulk up a bit and hope to beat out Ray and Robbie in a bench press-off. I am a the owner of a small architecture firm, so my clients and contractors will be so im-pressed with the design and size my new baggage that it will most certainly increase my bottom line. And, finally, you need something hefty to protect not only the delicate Macbook Pro and iPhone 4, but also my 100' tape, measuring wheel and hard hat. Precious few bags can lay claim to protecting a hard hat, and this is the one!

After winning this bag, photos will be sent along with the full bag and some of the heights it will reach. Fun for all!!

avatar

paulke

I want it to carry things from home to work and vice versa. I doubt I could bench press more than the staff though, so I will have to start an exercise regimen to build my way up there.

avatar

icedewd

First, when I get the bag I will have no reason to bench press more than the editorial staff. Carrying the bag around should suffice that I am stronger than the staff! ha! Second I need the bag just so when I walk down the street the people on the street will hear "Bad Leroy Brown" playing... Their hearts will beat and they will know... That is one bad MOFO carrying that bag... Nuff said... Send me my BAG!!

avatar

Jrybiski

This bag looks awesome... It looks like something out of a Spaghetti Western... Clint Eastwood would carry this under his serape...

"'scuze me mister is that a MacBook Pro in your pack or are you just happy to see me?"

A bit much to carry around a 32Gb iPad, but what the hay, I've been working out at the gym...

avatar

bferg24

I'm short. I'm goofy looking. I talk like a 12 year-old robot. I need this super hipster stylish bag to compensate for my insecurities.

I can't out bench press the Mac|life editors. But I bet you I could run and hide from them if they ever got angry with me. I could also whoop some a*s in a game of hide and seek. I'd be in a high cupboard curled up in the fetal position with my thumb and/or a ring pop in my mouth.

avatar

aBronzeTiger

I'll bet this would enhance my weight loss program but I still think it's sexy.

avatar

Gorgeous!!!....like butta!

This kind of stuff is the reason I keep coming back to MacLife. Anyway, I just finished graduate school at the age of 22 and still carry a backpack to and from the office, which emphasizes my young age. I also look young for my age but I do my best to dress professionally. I'd like this nice bag to help me overcome this "young" impression that people seem to have of me. Not to be overdramatic but I really do think this bag will have a significant impact in my life.

Also, I probably could not bench press more than the MacLife editors. I'm pretty weak, haha.

avatar

texthetitan

I want this bag for two reasons. 1) It would allow me to carry my stuff like a boss. 2) I hate hippies and the mere sight of this much cow flesh would make them cry tears of patchouli.

avatar

Dwimmerlaik

I actually like the styling of the bag. I have an OLD leather bag that I bought when I started college (no, I won't say when that was) and it could definitely stand to be retired...er...passed down to one of my kids.

Oh, and the editors...yeah, I can take em.

avatar

Merry Prankster

A bag you'll hand down to your great grand children. Count me in!

avatar

gtmauro

I would love to have this bag because my first child is due Feb 12 and I would much rather carry around this awesome bag with her stuff in it, then some girly diaper bag.

After about six months of carry this bag and a baby, I'll be ready to take on the editors.

avatar

Loup407

I could totally use that to haul tools, or 50 feet of chain.

avatar

Jmartin_1

Not only can I bench press more than the MacLife editors, I can bench press the Editorial staff WHILE they are bench pressing. It really is quite ridiculous how awesome I am.

I want/need this bag because I have purchased many a cheap MacBook/iPad bag and have been thus far extremely disappointed in the results. I want a good quality bag to carry around my gear, especially my latest copy of Mac Life and my iPad with the MacLife App. However, I am a poor pastor and father of 3 who has no money, other than what I win in bench pressing contests with popular tech magazine editors. In closing, if you choose me, you will have chosen me.

Peace to you all. Keep up the good work!

avatar

dkmillerii

I want this bag b/c I don't have any bag like this and it would look great when going to see customers.

And no, I don't think I can bench press more than the editors!

Very nice!

I like leather, and this one looks very durable and secure, too. I'm in!
