I'm looking forward to the iHat that projects a 3d touchscreen that only you can see. Runs iOS apps.

Just like when you are using foil wrap, pulling it out of the container? So it will be for the iPad foil. Pull it out of it's enclosure and presto on the foil like film is the screen!
The enclosure contained the on/off switch, how far to extend the foil and a call pad. The rest is on the foil as touch icons!

The magic of Apple is that it makes things we don't actually know we want until we have it. But I'd like an Apple TV that's an iDVR, too.

I'd really love the vision of iCloud where I can log into my home directory from anywhere, stored on my own Time Capsule at home BUT at this point, I'd just take the iPhone 5 so I can finally decommission my 3GS.

I am most looking forward to an iEye. A complete iMac built into a pair of sunglasses that will allow you to view websites, spreadsheets, speeches, etc. as you are doing other things. Think how great it would be to have a dissertation right in front of you without having "note-cards" or to read your email while sitting in a boring meeting and have no one know.
The only drawback would be idiots using it while driving - but there can be a built in cut off switch. When in the car, it turns off.

I am looking forward to the next Macbook Air with the (still in development) iOS processor that resides within the new iPad 2, I think if Apple can pull this off, then the components of many future laptops and not just Apple's will benefit from increased research and development.

Fully integrated components for audio, diagnostics, navigation, etc. in a car. No more need for ad hoc cables, docks, and systems that are difficult to use because a car company tried to do what Apple could do so much better.

I am from the future where the dashboards of all cars, and unified interface to all of your iHome devices is a single elegant curved hyperthin iPAD 10, which you carry around with you and foldup and put in your pocket when not in use.

The Magic Trackpad needs a face lift. Make the surface an LED touch screen that is completely user programmable. For example, the track pad could be turned into a 10-key pad with an app on the host computer. It can just as easily be configured for your favorite game controls or the inverted T cursor keys or Page Up/Down, Home/End, fn/Delete keys. A dedicated spot on the trackpad is an immediate toggle between trackpad and last used key set. Apple can supply a developer kit for defining available functions and a user community can post different key sets to some blog site. It does not have to be a color or high res screen to save power, extend battery life. Fully customizable, possibilities are endless.

The iCamera. With Apple's innovation in the field of high definition, their first attempt at making a dslr style compact camera would be amazing.

The iMorph. Like the Nokia Morph concept but from Apple. A nano technological masterpiece. Wearable, Solar Charging, instantly connected to all networks within range and instantly skinnable with whatever photo you have just taken. and all in a Morphing iDevice/iWatch/iScreen. Cool!

I know there are folks out there doing after market ipad installations in cars, but Apple could have a huge impact if they'd design a system specifically for the auto market. A large Retina display user interface, 256M or more of SSD, ports specifically designed for interfacing with other Apple products, built in iPhone functionality that would allow the car system to substitute itself for your phone when it senses your phone, Cinema displays where appropriate for the kids or gamers, all running on Snow Leopard server or similar so that multiple people can do multiple things simultaneously from various stations within the car.
Ultimately, this system could become the primary interface for many if not all functions currently controlled by buttons and switches, and would allow things like remote control of certain functions from your Mac or iPhone, think remote start, temperature control, and diagnostics downloads, as well as locator services if the car is stolen or missing. Now THAT would be a swagger wagon.
Pretty sweet idea, and very doable, very quickly.

iEars. Surgically-implanted (though minimally-invasive) Bluetooth headphones and mic. Surround sound with no wires or ear coverings. Plus, control your iPhone, Mac, or AppleTV with your voice from anywhere.
(iEars Pro have WiFi.)

I'd like to see a kind of near-field communication platform system from Apple, implemented in home theatre systems, home audio systems, automobiles, etc. that would allow media streaming and usage on other devices.
For example:
In a home theatre, allowing for video streaming from a computer, iTV, or an iOS device.
In an automobile, a sound system that allows for streaming from an iOS device or, dare I say, a computer in the car. The same for home audio.

Let us place and share those larger than 7mb memo recordings through drop box, YouSendit, or something other than the hassle of having to pull them off with iTunes.

my dream apple invention would be the iforce. A white, bluetooth connected device that makes you feel like darth vader. When you wake up to a ringing alarm, all you would have to do is say " Alarm: off" and the alarm would turn off. Then you would make a swiping gesture at your bedroom door and it would swoosh open. If you still feel groggy, all you would need to do is say " coffee: expresso, two sugars " and by the time you have made it to your kitchen, a hot, steaming cup of joe with your name on it would be sitting right next to the maclife magazine on your table. After breakfast ( toaster: bagel, butter, cream cheese) you would make a swiping motion at your front door and it would swish open, while a computer generated voice that sounds suspiciously like Steve Jobs wishes you farewell. When you reach your electric green, neon, Tesla Roadster instead of pulling out keys, you pull out your white iphone4 and put your thumb on the fingerprint scanner. the ivory handheld hums for a minute, then you gently place your iphone in your briefcase ( along with your macbook pro and ipad2) and point your finger at the green machine and twist your finger, like you are tuning a key. You walk into the plush, reclining leather seats, though instead of sitting in the drivers side you sit on the passenger seat. Why? Because driving is the ipads job!
The iForce.....
