Beating on the brats: One of the former drummers for punk progenitors The Ramones (it's hard to keep track of them all, there were so many of them over a 20+ year career) is not only suing the estate of guitarist Johnny Ramone, Ramones Productions and their music publisher, but he’s hit up Apple, Wal-Mart and RealNetworks, as well. The suit filed today in U.S. Federal court says that his copyright was infringed upon by the sale of The Ramones’ songs that he penned: Human Kind, Smash You, I’m Not Jesus and more. Yeah, exactly. We never heard of them either and we’re FANS.

It’s YOUR fault. No it’s YOUR fault: Apple, in short order, has blamed Euro taxes, labels and gremlins for a pricing policy that’s resulted in a European Commission-directed “statement of objection.” Us? Well, we’re blaming hysterical Britney Spears fans. For absolutely no good reason.

None more black: The Baltimore Sun’s David Zeiler talks iPod Touch screen darkening while Apple looks for trucks big enough to carry all the Christmas cash they’ll be making off of these to the bank.

And speaking of cash: AT&T says that the much-ballyhooed iPhone price cut has actually boosted sales. You don’t say?

The Hatred of Steve: Some fella, name of Rory Reid, over at Crave does a podcast wherein he rants about his long, lingering and lovingly tended tortured non-relationship with Steve. Who he hates. Don’t hate Steve because he’s beautiful, baby. Hate him just because.

Good morning Vietnam: The former French colony, the republic of Vietnam, actually broke the France-iPhone story. Purportedly on the basis of a whisper at a tradeshow. Loose lips sinking ships? Nahhhh....we all knew it was coming.
