Spanish technology company, SevenClick, reports that Apple will release a 3G version of the iPhone in May 2008.

The companies blog reports that it got the information from senior management at Telefonica. Telefonica Spain had hoped to launch the iPhone in that country along with Germany, France and the UK this year. Unfortunately, Apple couldn't supply enough iPhones and Telefonica wanted to negotiate the 30% revenue cut Apple asked for.

New iPhones announced in January? If we all wish really, really hard it might just happen.
