Fall is fast approaching and you know what that means—a plethora of crazy Mac rumors inundating the internet.

Digg founder and beer guzzler, Kevin Rose is hot on the tail of, yet another, Mac rumor that will excite n00bs and faithful Apple fans alike (whether or not it is true is another thing entirely). This Week in Tech features Rose as a guest discussing the allegedly upcoming, September 9th announcement of brand new iPods, including a 4th Gen iPod nano.

Separate releases of what are apparently prototype images for the new iPods also appeared on the internet (but really, they appear to be 3D replicas of every other Apple product that’s been out in the last year). Rose also believes he carries knowledge about one of the new features in iTunes 8.0, which he said will arrive in tow with the new iPods.

Rose has had a shaky history with rumors, which is why many are casting doubt towards his latest claim. Not to mention the fact that he drinks on the job. Lucky guy.
