Flip Video is breaking into the consumer HD camcorder market with their update to the popular Flip Mino, the Flip Mino HD.

The Flip Mino HD ships with a 4GB drive, double that of the Flip Mino. It needs those extra GBs to handle the 1280x720 video. Double the resolution of its predecessor.

So what does an extra $50, two more GB and double the resolution get you over the Flip Mino? We decided to find out using the most advanced scientific methods available. Using a rubber band found in Robbie's desk we bound the Flip Mino and Flip Mino HD together and shot identical videos. Take a look at the videos below and decide for yourself.
