Snow Leopard coming in Q1 2009? Based on a presentation by Jordan Hubbard that was given in San Diego last week to those attending the Large Installation System Administration Conference (LISA), Apple may release Snow Leopard sooner than we thought. Snow Leopard is less of a full fledged update, and more of a update light to enhance OS X 10.5 Leopard.

Rumors are still circulating when an exact date is or will if the information is based on a Calendar Q1 or Fiscal Q1 release. Speculation is abound that Snow Leopard will only work on Intel machines. As usual, Apple has yet to comment on that issue.

With the Macworld Expo just around the corner, it's going to be more difficult to separate rumors from facts. Apple's Director of Engineering of Unix Technologies, Jordan Hubbard is someone that has credibility, and should be listened to, but only time will tell when the Snow Cat will drop.
