We already know that Apple is pulling out of Macworld, but does the company have plans to move to CES, the colossal electronics showcase that takes place in Las Vegas every year around the same time as Macworld? Jason Oxman from the Consumer Electronics Association told CNET this weekend that next year, there will be space on the showroom floor set aside specifically for Apple-related products.
Oxman won’t name the businesses that plan on showcasing next year, but he says he’s pleased with the feedback he’s received. The news can come as disconcerting to Apple fans, especially considering that major presenters like Adobe and Belkin pulled out of Macworld this year. Hopefully, this doesn't foreshadow the end of Macworld anytime soon.
Apple is a CEA member and has a “longstanding relationship” with the group. It is doubtful that the company would exhibit at CES, because Apple feels it no longer needs to debut its products at trade shows.
