Greg Grunberg knows how to stay busy. In addition to starring as Matt Parkman in NBC's Heroes, he's also getting ready to launch an iPhone app as a co-founder of Yowza!!. When he's not at work, he also plays drums in the TV star charity cover band Band from TV, which he also-co-founded. Now, he's got another charity project on his plate: he's auctioning off 30 minutes of video chat time to benefit the Epilepsy Foundation of America.
The auction will be held March 26, 2009 on humanety.com, a web site that auctions video chat sessions with people that would otherwise be hard to meet. Listed among the "humanetarians" who have also offered one-on-one chats are The Guild writer, producer and actress Felicia Day; GizWiz founder and MAD Magazine writer Dick DeBartolo; Wine Library entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk, and others.
Though Grunberg in January pre-announced it to his followers on Twitter as an iChat session, the humanety web site isn't as specific, noting only that the winning bidders need a Mac or a PC. We're willing to bet Grunny will go with iChat if the winner is a Mac user. (No word on whether he can also mind-control you during the session.)
