It seems like every device these days has some sort of optical peripheral latched on to it. Well, the iPod touch may not be far behind. HardMac claims that they’ve heard some interesting gossip about the future iPhones and iPod nano and touches.
Their sources allege that the future iPhone models will have exactly the same shape and size as the current iPhone 3G and Apple should refresh models for the iPod nano and touch in September, both of which should include a camera.
A camera on the iPod touch may make the most sense as it would bring it closer to the iPhone in terms of features. A camera on the iPod nano, however, would simply be a delightful surprise, and could be a hint at what Apple plans to do for the iPhone.
