iPhone says "Hello" during Oscars. Apple's new iPhone commercial debuted during the Oscars snoozefest last night. Some people thought the commercial was the best Oscar commercial - one writer even calls it soul-thawing. Give us your two cents about the iPhone commercial in the comments section below.

The iPhone is just too expensive. An online market research firm did a survey and found that only one percent of respondents would pay the current price for an iPhone. That's different from an older poll that showed that nine percent of the people surveyed plan to buy the iPhone.

14 million iPhones by December 2008. Investment bank Goldman Sach is high on the iPhone, predicting 14 million iPhone sales by the 2008 holiday shopping season. That's worldwide sales, by the way.

21 important iPhone features. At the iPhone introduction, Steve Jobs said that over 200 patents were filed for the technology behind the iPhone. That's a whole lotta patents. Here's an explanation of the important iPhone patents. Many of patents involve touch pad technology; others include the user interface, wireless connectivity, and media playback.

Yet another Apple patent lawsuit. This time, Texas MP3 Technologies (who? the "company" doesn't even have a Web site) is suing Apple, Samsung, and Sandisk. Texas MP3 claims to have created the basic idea of the MP3 player in a patent filed in October 2006.

Apple 18th in customer service. Business Week ranks the top 25 companies in customer service, and Apple's on it. Apple is the only technology company on the list, which is dominated by hotels and car manufacturers. Interestingly, Apple's Process Grade, which evaluates a company's return policies and procedures, was the lowest on the list (C-).

Ditch DRM and pay the price. Remember how EMI said they were looking into selling DRM-free music? Turns out that EMI wants to jack up the price for DRM-free music. Apparently, EMI approached the major online music retailers with a price that made the retailers run away screaming. IF EMI's plan does work, we could see the other music companies following suit, since they've wanted to raise prices for some time now.
