Do you like open source video? Does it make you especially happy to know that said open source video is cross-platform? Are you not really sure why we're asking these questions that you're obviously answering yes to? Alright, we'll budge. It's because we're excited that VLC is now available in the App Store.
This free app is totally simple to use. It has a ton of built-in codecs so that you can watch any kind of video file on your iPad. It can also play back media files if they're damaged. This is actually one of the reasons that we love VLC, because we can watch that half-downloaded video hanging out on our desktop, just for the heck of it.
