Since DonorsChoose is all about the education, how about a simple math problem to get us going this Monday morning?
You + DonorsChoose + prizes = Awesome ^ $1,171!
Yes, you guys are awesome to the power of $1,171. That's a lot of cash! Nice going!
But also:
MaximumPC * DonorsChoose > MacLife * DonorsChoose
Yeah, meaning MaximumPC is still ahead of us on the leaderboard, with $1,566 given by 46 donors, to our $1,171 given by 40 donors. (Several of those 40 are even repeat donors -- you are the all-stars, and I appreciate you soooo much.)
So they've still got bragging rights to go along with their platform's stubbornly large market share, but we still have two weeks to catch up with them. And in the end, the schools, teachers, and kids are the real winners, of course.
Oh, but speaking of winners, I've still got plenty of rad prizes to give away to this week's donors! The biggest load of prizes I've ever had the pleasure of awarding in a single week, in fact.
This week we have THREE grand prizes. Three randomly chosen winners who donate $1 or more to any project on our Giving Page and forward me their DonorsChoose email receipts (send them to susie at maclife.com) before the deadline of Saturday October 23 at 11:59pm Pacific (official rules here) will get a big box of Mac games from Aspyr! Here's what's inside:
Star Wars Jedi Knight Gold Pack (includes Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, and Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast)
Star Wars Mac Pack (includes Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Star Wars: Empire at War)
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Ultimate Sith EditionGuitar Hero World Tour (just the game -- instruments not included, sorry)
Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Gold Edition (includes the Warlords expansion pack)

My word, that's a lot of games. Three people will each get all five of these titles. Thanks, Aspyr!
If you bought all these games from Aspyr's handy site GameAgent.com, it'd set you back almost $200. But three of you will get them gratis, as our way of thanking you for being so generous with DonorsChoose.
And I've also got BONUS PRIZES! In honor of Apple going "Back to the Mac" with Wednesday's event (which I'll be live-blogging, yay!), we're going to give away bonus prizes (while supplies last) to EVERYONE who donates to either of these two projects, both classrooms asking for their very own Macs.
Bonus Prize Project #1: This elementary school in Los Angeles wants a MacBook Pro to create their own movies.
Bonus Prize Project #2: And this third-grade class in Michigan wants a Mac mini to use as a multimedia center.

30 bonus prizes up for grabs! Car chargers from Kensignton, iPod stands from iBend, and more Aspyr games!
Donate to either of those and send me your receipt by Saturday at 11:59pm, and I'll send you a prize. I've got 10 PowerBolt Micro Car Chargers for your iPhone/iPod from Kensington, plus 5 more assorted games from Aspyr (Civilization IV: Colonization and Command & Conquer: Generals, Deluxe Edition), and 15 iBend stands for iPods and iPhones (which you can save 10% on using the code MACLIFER at www.myibend.com). So that's 30 prizes total -- just be one of the first 30 people to give to either of those Mac projects linked above, and you're guaranteed to get something. Plus you'll be entered for the three grand prizes.
And congratulations to last week's winners! Alfonso C. nabbed the gorgeous iHome iP1, Joe C. walked away with the Star Trek Enterprise Pizza Cutter, and the super-secret bonus prize for podcast listeners (two Xbox 360 games) went to Richard F. Props to each of you! And thanks to everyone who entered.
