EyeTV, the popular software that lets you stream both live and recorded TV from your Mac to your iPad, iPod touch or iPhone, has just announced the addition to Airplay support in the app. That means that not only can you watch your TV wherever you are -- over Wi-fi and 3G -- you can also now stream it to your Apple TV, or third-party receiver with AirPlay support.
We're fans of wireless anything. After AirPlay debuted, we were doing anything we could to use it for whatever applications were compatible. But the native 720p resolution streaming cap is a little irking, especially for media hoarders. Enthusiasts Eric Govoruhk and Kelly McAteer solved this issued by figuring out a way to stream full HD 1080p video mirroring for the iPad 2 by using a wireless HDMI transmitter and USB battery pack. It's pretty awesome, and seeing it put to use is even more so. Check out the video after the cut.

AirPlay is one of the sweetest updates ever to grace iOS. Simple and elegant, AirPlay makes it a one-tap snap to share and stream video, audio, or photo content residing on your iOS device, Apple TV, or third-party AirPlay compatible device.
