Today is the third anniversary of the mega-popular Angry Birds game, and Rovio Entertainment celebrated by releasing Angry Birds 3.0. But the company wasn't done quite yet -- an Angry Birds movie is also in the works, and will hit movie screens everywhere in the summer of 2016.

This funky physics puzzler stars a superstar dragon named Smokey, who is hellbent on recovering his lost teeth -- but getting them back is trickier and occasionally more aggravating than you might expect, thanks to the unpredictable laws of gravity.
Say what you want about Angry Birds, but you cannot deny The Force is strong with developer Rovio, who has turned the mobile game into a mammoth hit. Now, the company really does have The Force behind them, as well as the entire Star Wars universe.
Cobbling together a wild assortment of makeshift mechanical whirligigs to ferry naughty swine to their destination is the task in Bad Piggies HD, which delivers a refreshing spin on the Angry Birds series and its iconic adversaries. Piggies packs the same immense charm and addictive pull of its predecessors, but it also takes the physics heavy puzzle play in a completely new direction.
Star Wars creator George Lucas has retired from the film business, but it appears his licensing department is still very much open for business, joining forces with Angry Birds creator Rovio for new apps and even board games coming soon.
