You want games? We got games. You want productivity apps? Yeah, we got those too. You wanna mix music on your iPhone for a party but all the music is on a server somewhere else? Heck yeah, we even got that. So what don't we have? High prices on any of these apps.
With the exception of flesh-eating undead and the truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife, our apps today are all about utility. So put on your to-do list: how to escape having your brain eaten, how to stay in shape to escape shambling hordes of zombies, and how to get your Mr. Darcy to finally pop the question. Then get tapping at the App Store.
Oh the weather outside is getting a little frightful, but that's all right. As long as I have my iOS device to keep me warm, I'll be all right. And here's just a few of the price drops and freebies burning up our mobile devices these days.
We've got some honeys of some deals for you including a Mac app bundle that includes six apps for free. Now that's a price I'm sure we can all get behind. Plus we have the usual batch of free and discounted iOS apps too, so what are you waiting for? These deals won't last forever.
It's a gamers weekend with tons of great games on sale plus a huge sale at one of our favorite new destinations for one of our favorite app developers. Plus, we've got a little productivity for you serious types. With DST coming to an end this weekend, we were a little surprised at there not being more clock apps in this weekend's price cuts. Oh well, clock's ticking on these other app sales, so get going!
With Apple on the very tip top verge of releasing the iPad mini next week, we're wondering how this week's crop of sale apps will look on that screen. Obviously we're used to some of our games going big screen on the full sized iPad, so now we just wonder about big size apps going downsize -- but not all the way. It'll be interesting to see if iPad mini only apps arrive on the scene too.
We have a lot of visual art going on and a little bit of gaming and a huge game sale as well. So if you came here for anything other than fun, like to learn Catalan or for that one productivity app that's going to finally teach you how to GTD, well, you're outta luck. Let the games begin!
It seemed forever ago that Google announced their Music Beta service. Upload up to 20,000 songs (for free, albeit at a snail's crawl) to be streamed to and downloadable to any computer. Access to the service on iOS devices was limited, for a while, to a clunky HTML-5-based weblication. Eventually, third parties got in on the act.
This week's games are addictive and packed with cute animals, making them too fun by half. You'll be fighting your kids to get back your phone just so you can have a crack at these adorable discounted apps. Got a long car trip coming up for the weekend? Well, then, you're set.
This week's price drops represent something a little on the class side of things. Classics from literature as well as classics in the gaming world. We are high and mighty here at Mac|Life, we drink with our pinkies extended, and we play games, like a sir. And we love cheap games!
