Policing the App Store sure seems like a full-time job for Apple -- and a full-time headache. The company's policy regarding more adult-oriented applications seems to be in a constant state of slow-motion evolution. And prone to bad news.
Over the past year, some iPhone developers have become rather upset
with Apple because of their review process for
native applications, but could Apple be pushing the envelope a little
too much when it comes to ratings?
The iPhone is so rad, it's destroying the very fabric of the cell phone industry and the Mac|Life staff is okay with that. For the love of Pete, when will the NetBook rumors stop? This time it's rumored to hit the market in October. Will it be a trick, or a treat. (Sorry, we couldn't help ourselves.)
Finally, Apple announces that 1.5 billion apps have been downloaded from the App Store. Wow!
looks amazing, with a pretty stunning opening cinematic and crisp,
detailed graphics. The game combines platforming, stealth, combat, and
some puzzles, but the simple tasks—navigating the game world’s narrow
walkways and tricky jumps—are more frustrating than they need to be,
and the anemic save system doesn’t help.
