For those that have the hopes of getting an iPhone on Verizon, you may
want to think again. Tim Cook and Peter Oppenheimer have made it clear
in the company's Q2 financial results conference call that Apple will
most likely not be switching from AT&T for the iPhone.
Apple made its first appearance in the top 100 of the Fortune
500 since Steve Jobs’ return in the late nineties. The Silicon-Valley
based company rounded in at No. 71, partly due to the declining
fortunes of some of the firms that were above it, but mostly to
revenues that grew 35.3% to $32.479 billion in 2008.
Apple Inc. turns 33 today. We were going to plan a surprise party at the Apple campus, but those party poopers in security turned us away. It's amazing how quickly the mood of a party turns when confronted by folks with badges.
